Make your own Glass Workshop - min 4 pppl
Join us for the beautiful and exclusive experience of working with glass!
Come to our lovely glass studio overlooking the indigenous forest in the heart of the Garden Route and immerse yourself in this unique glass experience. Sensory overload guaranteed! The studio is located on Kalanderkloof Farm on the Barrington Road, Elandskraal between Sedgefield and Knysna.
Join us from 10:00 to 16:00, for a full day workshop with Helga Stassen. The workshop will include an explanation and demonstration on how to work with glass. You will be given a flat piece of glass, either square or round in shape, on which you can pack millefiori (thousands of flowers), or Murano glass rods to create your desired piece. Immerse yourself in this age-old process of placing the glass as they do in Murano. Be warned - it can be addictive! The glass will be fired after the workshop, framed and sent to you. It takes up to 14 hours to fire the glass and cool it down, that is why it will only be available after the workshop.
Included is a farm-produce lunch, tea & coffee (you'll get to meet Fabio Grande, our big coffee machine!) and definitely something sweet and yummy! After lunch a tour of the beautiful Kalanderkloof Farm will be available to those that choose, or you can continue work on your glass.
All glass materials and paper will be supplied. Please bring along your favourite pens and pencils for the design/drawing part of the workshop.
No experience required, ages 10+ are welcome.
